NASCAR 2024 Xfinity Series: Driver standings after United Rentals 250 at Talladega Superspeedway

Twenty-eight races have taken place in the 2024 NASCAR Xfinity Series season. Sammy Smith became the latest race winner of the season after winning the United Rentals 250 at the Talladega Superspeedway on Saturday, October 5.

In a thrilling race at Talladega, Mayer beat RSS Racing’s Ryan Sieg on the final lap and stayed out front to cross the finish line in P1. With the win, he gained 50 points and advanced to the Round of 8. He moved to seventh place in the points table with 2066 points.

After finishing fifth at Talladega, Chandler Smith gained 48 points and regained the top spot in the Xfinity Series playoff standings. He has a 27-point lead over Cole Custer with 2122 points.

Parker Kligerman finished 12th at The Dega, gained 25 points, and stands 12th in the points table with 2049 points. He is 16 points below the cutline.

Jesse Love, who started on the front row, failed to utilize advantage and finished P6. He gained 39 points and stands fifth in the standings with 2080 points.
