After a Watkins Glen road course, the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series heads to Bristol, Tennessee, for the Bass Pro Shops Night Race.

The third playoff race of the 2024 season is expected to be exciting as the Next Gen car will run for the sixth time at Bristol Motor Speedway. All drivers taking the field will be racing to win Saturday’s (September 21) 500-lap race at the 0.5-mile shortest track.

Along with the win, there will be monetary rewards for the winners across NASCAR’s three national series. In 2024, the Cup Series race at the Bristol fall race boasts a prize pool of $9,222,417. Meanwhile, the Xfinity and Truck Series races will reward the winner with $1,680,574 and $720,063, respectively.

Live action of the Bass Pro Shops Night Race can be enjoyed live on USA Network, NBC Sports, Peacock, and PRN. It will be broadcast on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. ET.


What is the Bass Pro Shops Night Race prize money for 2024?

All 37 drivers participating in NASCAR’s top-tier series will compete for monetary incentives this weekend in Bristol, Tennessee.

Renowned FOX Sports journalist Bob Pockrass tweeted the total prize pool that will be up for grabs this weekend at Bristol across the Cup, Xfinity, and Truck Series.

“Purses for Bristol weekend, all payouts, all positions, year-end pts fund contributions, contingency awards and for Cup, all charter payouts for racing and historical performance: Cup: $9,222,417 Xfinity: $1,680,574 Truck: $720,063,” his tweet read.

Bass Pro Shops Night Race Prize Money Breakdown: How much will the winner make at the Bristol Motor Speedway?

According to NASCAR journalist Bob Pockrass, the 2024 Bass Pro Shops Night Race winner is likely to receive between eight and 10 percent of the total purse. The remaining purse will be divided among the full-time NASCAR Cup Series' 36 charter teams according to their finishing positions, charter status, etc.

As per this assumption, the winner of Saturday’s Bass Pro Shops Night Race at Bristol will likely get eight to 10 percent of the overall prize money of $9,222,417, which means a check of around $700,000–900,000.

NASCAR Cup Series action begins with practice and qualifying on Friday (Sept. 20) at 4 pm ET and 5:05 pm ET, while the main event is on Saturday. Practice and qualifying for this year’s third playoff race can be watched live on USA Network and NBC Sports.
