Spire Motorsports has announced the termination of its partnership with Rev Racing in the NASCAR Truck Series. According to a recent report from TobyChristie.com, this decision made public on Friday (January 10) concludes the collaboration that saw Rev Racing’s #2 Chevrolet Silverado operating under Spire's banner.

Spire Motorsports, the team that opened in 2018 and was owned by Jeff Dickerson, T. J. Puchyr, and TWG Global, had provided equipment and personnel to REV Racing for the 2024 Truck Series season.

According to TobyChristie.com, a team representative of Spire Motorsports stated that they chose not to renew the agreement with Rev’s #2 in the 2025 Truck Series season and will rebrand this entry as the #07, expanding to run four trucks in the series this season.

A team representative said, as reported by TobyChristie.com:

“The agreement between Spire [Motorsports] and REV Racing expired at the end of the 2024 season. Spire elected not to pursue a renewal of that agreement and enter a fourth Spire Motorsports truck in 2025.”

Spire’s team representative also confirmed to TobyChristie.com that the Mooresville, North Carolina, outfit has been in discussion with Rev Racing about owner points from #2 Chevrolet from last season.

Rev Racing, owned by former Dale Earnhardt, Inc. president Max Siegel, has been instrumental in promoting diversity within NASCAR, providing opportunities for minority and female drivers through its participation in the “Drive for Diversity” program. The end of their partnership with Spire signifies a notable shift in the Mooresville, North Carolina, outfit’s strategy within the Truck Series and puts Rev’s future uncertain in the series.

In the 2024 NASCAR Truck Series season, the 23-year-old Nick Sanchez competed in the #2 Rev Racing truck and amassed two wins, 11 top-five finishes, and 14 top-10 finishes with an average finish of 9.3 in 23 races and finished the season in fifth place in the final standings.

Spire Motorsports will enter the 2025 season as a four-driver’ team in NASCAR Truck Series

Spire Motorsports, which fields multiple entries in both the Cup Series and Truck Series, has been expanding its presence in the sport.

Spire will field four truck entries in 2025: the #07, #7, #71, and #77. Last month, the organization renewed Rajah Caruth’s contract to continue driving the #71 HendrickCars.com Chevrolet Silverado in 2025. Whereas Hendrick Motorsports development driver Corey Day added to Spire’s truck driver lineup in the #7 as a part-time driver.

Along with that, Spire Motorsports acquired Kyle Busch Motorsports, a leading entity in the Truck Series at the end of the 2023 season, enhancing its competitive capabilities. Additionally, in July 2024, the organization secured a multiyear deal with veteran crew chief Rodney Childers, who is set to pair with Justin Haley in the 2025 Cup Series season.
