NASCAR Cup Series 2024: Full weekend schedule for Championship Race at Phoenix Raceway

The NASCAR Cup Series Championship Race will take place at the Phoenix Raceway on Sunday, November 10. The series' title-deciding race will be broadcast on NBC Sports and Peacock at 3 pm ET.

Held in Avondale, Arizona, it will be the 36th race of the 2024 NASCAR season and the final race of the 2024 NASCAR playoffs. It will see the Next Gen car in action for the sixth time at Phoenix Raceway. The 312-lap race is divided into three stages. Stage 1 ends on lap 75, Stage 2 consists of 115 laps, and the final stage consists of 122 laps.

The one-mile-long track features eight degrees of banking in turns one and two, 11 degrees in turns three and four, and three degrees in the backstretch.

The Phoenix Raceway Roval hosted its first NASCAR Cup Series race in 1988, where Alan Kulwicki won the inaugural Martinsville race.

It will be the fifth Championship Race hosted by Phoenix Raceway. The 39 drivers entering this week’s Cup Series race will compete across 312 laps in 312 miles. The NASCAR Cup Series Championship weekend will begin with a practice session on Friday (November 8), followed by a qualifying session on Saturday (November 9), and conclude with the main event on Sunday.

Team Penske driver Ryan Blaney became the champion in 2023. He advanced to the Championship 4 race after winning the elimination race of Round of 8 at Martinsville and will look to claim his second title in a row.

Along with Blaney, drivers who advanced to the Championship 4 race are his teammate Joe Logano, 23XI’s Tyler Reddick, and HMS’s William Byron. The highest finisher among them will win the championship trophy.
