NASCAR Cup Series 2024: Full weekend schedule for Straight Talk Wireless 400 at Homestead-Miami Speedway

The Straight Talk Wireless 400 will take place at the Homestead-Miami Speedway on Sunday, October 27. The 400.5-mile playoff race will be broadcast on NBC Sports at 2:30 pm ET.

Held in Homestead, Florida, it will be the 34th race of the 2024 NASCAR season and the eighth of the 2024 NASCAR playoffs. It will see the Next Gen car in action for the third time at Homestead-Miami Speedway. The 267-lap race is divided into three stages. Stage 1 ends on lap 80, Stage 2 consists of 80 laps, and the final Stage consists of 107 laps.

The 1.5-mile intermediate oval track features 18-20 degree variable banking and three degrees on the front and back stretch.

The Homestead-Miami Speedway Roval hosted its first NASCAR Cup Series race in 1999, where NASCAR legend Tony Stewart won the inaugural Homestead-Miami race.

It will be the 25th Straight Talk Wireless 400, hosted by Homestead-Miami Speedway Roval. The 38 drivers entering this week’s Cup Series race will compete across 267 laps in 400.5 miles. The NASCAR Cup Series weekend will begin with a practice and qualifying session on Saturday (October 26), followed by the main event the following day.

Joe Gibbs Racing driver Christopher Bell will enter as the defending winner of the event after a thrilling victory in last year’s Homestead-Miami race.

Denny Hamlin is the only active driver who has won multiple races at Homestead-Miami. He won the events in 2009, 2013, and 2020. The next closest driver is Kyle Busch with two wins.

After Joey Logano clinched one of the four championship 4 berths, remaining playoff drivers will have pressure to perform well at 1.5-mile Homestead track to grab the remaining three championship 4 berths.
