NASCAR Cup Series 2024: Full weekend schedule for Xfinity 500 at Martinsville Speedway

The Xfinity 500 will take place at the Martinsville Speedway on Sunday, November 3. The 263-mile playoff race will be broadcast on NBC Sports at 2 pm ET.

Held in Ridgeway, Virginia, it will be the 35th race of the 2024 NASCAR season and the ninth of the 2024 NASCAR playoffs. It will see the Next Gen car in action for the sixth time at Martinsville Speedway. The 500-lap race is divided into three stages. Stage 1 ends on lap 130, Stage 2 consists of 130 laps, and the final stage consists of 240 laps.

The 0.5-mile paperclip-shaped short track features 12 degrees of banking in the turns and zero degrees of banking on the straightaways.

The Martinsville Speedway Roval hosted its first NASCAR Cup Series race in 1949, where Red Byron won the inaugural Martinsville race.

It will be the 76th Xfinity 500, hosted by Martinsville Speedway Roval. The 37 drivers entering this week’s Cup Series race will compete across 500 laps in 263 miles. The NASCAR Cup Series weekend will begin with a practice and qualifying session on Saturday (November 2), followed by the main event the following day.

Team Penske driver Ryan Blaney will enter as the defending winner of the event after a thrilling victory in last year’s Martinsville spring race.

Richard Petty, Darrell Waltrip, Jeff Gordon, and Jimmie Johnson hold the record for most Xfinity 500 wins with four each.

Denny Hamlin is the only active driver who has won multiple races at this event. He won the race in 2009-2010.

Joey Logano and Tyler Reddick have clinched their championship four berths with their respective wins at Las Vegas and Homestead. Sunday’s Martinsville race will determine the remaining two final 4 spots.
