The Xfinity 500 marks the 35th race of the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season and the ninth playoff race. The green flag will drop at 2:03 pm ET on Sunday, November 3, at Martinsville Speedway.
The 0.5-mile paperclip-shaped short track comprises 12 degrees of banking in turns and zero degrees of banking in straightaways. The Martinsville Speedway will host NASCAR’s all-three national series, the Cup, Xfinity, and Truck Series.
Thirty-seven drivers will contest over 500 laps in this week’s Cup Series race. This will be the 76th annual event hosted by Martinsville Speedway in the NASCAR Cup Series.
Heading to the Martinsville fall race, 2021 NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Larson is the favorite to win the Xfinity 500 this week at +400 odds, according to sportscasting.com. His first and only win at Martinsville came in April 2023. He is seven points below the championship 4 race cut line, and a win on Sunday will confirm his final 4 spot.
Joe Gibbs Racing driver Denny Hamlin has the second-highest odds to win on Sunday at +400. Hamlin secured the podium finish at the 0.5-mile Martinsville track last year.
They are followed by the defending NASCAR Cup Series champion Ryan Blaney at +500, William Byron at +750, and Chase Elliott at +800 in the top five odds.
Tyler Reddick, who clinched the championship 4 berth last week at Homestead-Miami, has the 10th highest odds at +2500 to win Sunday’s Xfinity 500.
