After an eventful Daytona race, the 2024 NASCAR season heads to the Darlington Raceway in Darlington, South Carolina, for the Cook Out Southern 500. The regular season’s last race will go live on NBC Sports and USA Network at 6 p.m. ET on Sunday, September 1.
The Darlington Fall race will be contested on a 1.366-mile-long track. A total of 37 drivers will compete over 367 laps in an attempt to drive down victory lane.

Who is on pole for Cook Out Southern 500?
In Saturday’s (August 31) Cup Series qualifying, 23XI Racing driver Bubba Wallace won his first pole of the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season with a speed of 167.146 mph. This is the fourth career pole for Wallace. The pole came at a right time for Wallace, as he's in a must-win situation to make the Cup Series playoffs.
Spire Motorsports driver Carson Hocevar will share the front row with him after a lap of 1670.10 mph.
The pair will be followed by Chase Briscoe, the defending winner of the event Kyle Larson, and Martin Truex Jr. in the top five. Points leader Tyler Reddick, the defending NASCAR Cup Series champion Ryan Blaney, William Byron, Christopher Bell and Chris Buescher completed the top-10.
