Hollywood celebrity and NASCAR driver Frankie Muniz was recently hospitalized following a trip to Mexico. Muniz's wife, Paige, shared that her husband contracted hay fever during their recent vacation.

Muniz recently made his NASCAR Truck Series debut at Nashville Superspeedway. The following week, he went on a trip with his family to Cancún, Mexico. Paige Muniz shared on Instagram that they had a fantastic trip, but her husband got "sick as a horse" with hay fever and had to be hospitalized.

Muniz's wife took to Instagram to share snaps from their family vacation, with 23 members in their entourage. She highlighted the contrasting experiences of their trip, with her husband falling ill after having an amazing trip. She shared a video montage of their trip on July 9, on Instagram with the caption:

"23 of us went to mexico, had a fantastic trip, then frankie got sick as a horse with a case of hay fever… that was my week, how’s yours?"

Paige Muniz also shed light on how misleading content on the internet can be, citing her example. She contrasted their footage from the trip and its aftermath with a picture of Frankie Muniz lying on a hospital bed, implying that a social media post doesn't narrate the entire story.

She added that the family enjoyed their time in Mexico, but almost everyone in their group got very sick. She wrote on her Instagram stories:

"This is te perfect example of how decieving the internet is. did we have an epic time? Yes. But also, Frankie ended up in the hospital and almost everyone in our group got very very sick."

Frankie Muniz reflects on his NASCAR Truck Series debut

The Malcolm in the Middle star made his NASCAR Truck Series debut at Nashville Superspeedway, driving the #22 Reaume Brothers Racing Ford. Despite finishing 31st in his debut outing, Muniz shared that he "had a blast" in the race.

In the post-race interview with Bob Pockrass, Muniz said that he enjoyed his time behind the wheel of the #22 Truck. He mentioned that it was the first time this year, that he got out of a car and could genuinely say he had a good time:

"I had a blast, honestly. I know maybe on paper it doesn’t look like the result we wanted to have, but I wanted to just run as many laps as possible, get comfortable in the truck. I was racing with people, I was kind of in some battles, and that’s what I needed to do. I’m super grateful to the team for giving me the opportunity, and Ford Performance."
"I honestly had a good time, and this is the first time this year that I feel like I’ve gotten out of a race car and can say that I had a good time..." he added.

Muniz is scheduled to return to the Truck Series during NASCAR's visits to Bristol and Kansas.
