After an eventful NASCAR playoff opener, the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series heads to Watkins Glen, New York, with the Go Bowling at The Glen.

The second playoff race of the 2024 season is expected to be exciting as the Next Gen car will run for the third time at Watkins Glen International. All drivers taking the field will be racing to win Sunday’s (September 15) 90-lap race at the 2.45-mile-long track.

Along with the win, there will be monetary rewards for the winners across NASCAR’s two national series. In 2024, the Cup Series race at the Watkins Glen race boasts a prize pool of $7,572,831. Meanwhile, the Xfinity Series races will reward the winner with $1,312,465.

Live action of the Go Bowling at The Glen can be enjoyed live on USA Network, NBC Sports, Peacock, and MRN. It will be broadcast on Sunday at 3 p.m. ET.


What is Go Bowling at The Glen prize money for 2024?

All 38 drivers participating in NASCAR’s top-tier series will compete for monetary incentives this weekend in Watkins Glen, New York.

Renowned FOX Sports journalist Bob Pockrass tweeted the total prize pool that will be up for grabs this weekend at Watkins Glen across the Cup and Xfinity Series:

“Purse for Watkins Glen including all payouts, all positions. Includes contribution to year-end points fund, contingency awards and all charter payouts for racing and historical performance, etc.: Cup: $7,572,831 Xfinity: $1,312,465”

Go Bowling at The Glen Prize Money Breakdown: How much will the winner make at the Watkins Glen International?

According to NASCAR journalist Bob Pockrass, the 2024 Go Bowling at The Glen winner is likely to receive between eight and 10 percent of the total purse. The remaining purse will be divided among the full-time NASCAR Cup Series' 36 charter teams according to their finishing positions, charter status, etc.

As per this assumption, the winner of Sunday’s Go Bowling at The Glen at Watkins Glen will likely get eight to 10 percent of the overall prize money of $7,572,831, which means a check of around $500,000–700,000.

NASCAR Cup Series action begins with practice and qualifying on Saturday (Sept. 14) at 11:30 am ET and 1 pm ET, while the main event is on Sunday. Practice and qualifying for this year’s second playoff race can be watched live on USA Network and NBC Sports.
