The 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season heads to Chicago, Illinois, for the Grant Park 165 this weekend after a thrilling Ally 400 at Nashville Superspeedway. The Grant Park 165 is the 20th NASCAR Cup Series race of the 2024 season, which is set to be held on Sunday, July 7, at the Chicago Street Course.
The Cup event at Chicago Street Course kicks off at 4:30 pm ET and will be broadcast on NBC Sports. It will be contested over 75 laps with 165 miles on the 2.2-mile street course.
Sunday's event marks the second annual Grant Park 165, hosted by Chicago Street Course. FOX Sports journalist Bob Pockrass on X shared the list of drivers taking part in the 2024 Grant Park 165.
Forty drivers will take the green flag, and six have changed on this weekend’s docket: #13 Kaulig Racing’s AJ Allmendinger, #15 Rick Ware Racing’s Kaz Grala, #16 Kaulig Racing’s Shane van Gisbergen, #33 Richard Childress Racing’s Austin Hill, #60 RFK Racing’s Joey Hand, and #66 MBM Motorsports’ Josh Bilicki.
Three-time Supercars Champion Shane van Gisbergen won last year’s Grant Park 165 in two hours, 50 minutes, and 48 seconds.
