The 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season has arrived at Las Vegas Motor Speedway for the first race of the Round of 8 playoffs, the South Point 400. The Las Vegas Cup Series playoff race will be contested between 37 drivers for 267 laps at the 1.5-mile Vegas track.
As the Round of 8 kicks off in Las Vegas, this race holds extra weight as playoff-eligible drivers will be pressured to perform well to put themselves in a good position to qualify for the Championship 4 at Phoenix Raceway. A win in the Round of 8 can directly advance them into the season-finale race.
