Former NASCAR driver Greg Biffle continues to receive praise for his efforts to help those affected by Hurricane Helene. A picture of him flying overhead to offer assistance was shared on Instagram.

Biffle, who won 19 races in the NASCAR Cup Series, was the first driver to win championships in both the Xfinity Series and Truck Series. After Hurricane Helene caused severe flooding and landslides in North Carolina, Biffle used his private helicopter to deliver important supplies to isolated areas. The storm damaged many roads and cut essential access to residents and tourists. Biffle also helped rescue stranded people.

Biffle reshared an Instagram Story on October 6 that had the caption:

People extended their gratitude to Biffle for his help during this crisis. Other NASCAR drivers and teams also helped people affected by the hurricane.

Joey Logano pledged $250k for victims in the western Carolinas. Joe Gibbs Racing and Hendrick Motorsports provided helicopters for rescue missions while Michael Jordan’s 23XI Racing team promised to make a $1 million financial donation to support recovery efforts.

Greg Biffle used his helicopter to deliver Starlink internet devices and Polaris generators to people stuck because of flooding. He tweeted a video on October 7 showcasing the conditions of the damaged roads 45 miles from Asheville and the difficult landing sites.

''Terrain is rough and landings aren’t easy but so worth it. Different perspective of our landing on the only flat and clear piece free of powerlines around the area. #hurricanehelene 📸Sean Kerlin,'' Biffle wrote.

In a previous post, he was seen helping people stranded in the mountains. They used a mirror to catch his attention and Biffle said he delivered ''a chainsaw, EpiPens, insulin, chicken food, formula, gas, 2 stroke oil, and sandwiches'' after a tough landing.

Biffle said about the rescue efforts (via NASCAR):

“It’s been busy — a lot of seat time in the helicopter, more than I ever would have imagined in my life. But it feels good to be able to get supplies and things in need into these people that need the help the most, that are still cut off...Some of the grocery stores are wiped out, gas stations still don’t have fuel, the power is not back on everywhere, so these folks still need supplies and food, and they can’t just hop in their car and go driving around looking...So the mission continues."

ESPN analyst Marty Smith suggested on X that Biffle should be given the Presidential Medal of Freedom for his brave work. He praised Biffle for using his helicopter to save lives and urged people to check out his efforts on social media.
