The opening night of the 2024 Tuscarora 50 of the NASCAR Kubota High Limit Racing Series got done and dusted on Thursday, September 5, at Skagit Speedway, with 28 entries.
Brad Sweet, driving the #49 entry, returned to victory lane in the Kubota High Limit Racing Series after 112 days. He ended the 35-race winless streak by winning the Thursday night preliminary feature at Port Royal Speedway.
Hendrick Motorsports and Kyle Larson’s brother-in-law, Sweet, emerged victorious after grabbing the lead from Rico Abreu with a slider into turn one on lap 17 of 25 and held off the rest of the field to take the much-awaited victory.
Sweet crossed the finish line by a close margin ahead of Abreu to take the checkered flag.
Meanwhile, Rico Abreu, who led the most laps during the 25-lap feature, finished runner-up, followed by Anthony Macri, Logan Wagner, and Tyler Courtney in the top-five. Justin Peck, Parker Price Miller, Sye Lynch, Brian Brown, and Justin Whittall completed the top-10.
