After a Homestead-Miami race, the 2024 NASCAR season heads to Martinsville Speedway Roval in Ridgeway, Virginia, for the Xfinity 500. The ninth playoff race of the season will go live on NBC Sports at 2 p.m. ET on Sunday, November 3.
The Martinsville fall race will be contested on a 0.5-mile oval track. Thirty-seven drivers will compete over 500 laps to drive down victory lane. FOX Sports journalist Bob Pockrass tweeted the starting lineup for the 2024 Xfinity 500.
Who is on pole for Xfinity 500?
In Saturday’s (November 2) Cup Series qualifying, Joe Gibbs Racing veteran Martin Truex Jr. claimed his first pole of the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season with a speed of 96.190 mph. It marked Truex Jr.’s 24th pole of his career.
Hendrick Motorsports driver Chase Elliott will share the front row with him after a lap of 95.840 mph.
The pair will be followed by William Byron, Chase Briscoe, and Ty Gibbs in the top five. Harrison Burton, Alex Bowman, Ryan Preece, Kyle Larson, and Austin Dillon completed the top 10.
Defending NASCAR Cup Series champion Ryan Blaney will start 14th on Sunday.
After crashing in practice, Denny Hamlin was unable to make a qualifying attempt and will start rear of the field in 37th. He will have to work a lot to advance into the Championship 4 race.
