Thirty-four races have taken place in the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season. Tyler Reddick clinched his third win of the season after winning the Straight Talk Wireless 400 at the Homestead-Miami Speedway on Sunday, October 27.
In a dramatic Homestead race, Reddick passed his boss Denny Hamlin, and Ryan Blaney on the final lap of the race to cross the finish line in P1.
With the win, Reddick gained 57 points and advanced to the Championship 4 race. He moved to the fourth position in the NASAR Cup Series points table with 4098 points.
After a fourth-place finish at the 1.5-mile Homestead track, Christopher Bell gained 46 points and maintained the top position in the NASCAR Cup Series points table with 4132 points. He has a 22-point lead over William Byron and a 29-point cushion in the standings.
Kyle Larson, who started from the front row, failed to use the advantage and finished 13th. He gained 24 points and is third in the playoff points table, seven points below the cutline for the Championship 4 race.
The defending NASCAR champion, Ryan Blaney, finished runner-up in the Straight Talk Wireless 400. After missing the win by a close margin, he is now in a must-win situation heading into the elimination race at Martinsville. He is sixth in the playoffs points table with 4072 points, 38 points below the cut line.
