Thirty-five races have taken place in the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season. Ryan Blaney clinched his third win of the season after winning the Xfinity 500 at the Martinsville Speedway on Sunday, November 3.
In a thrilling Martinsville race, Blaney took the lead from Chase Elliott on lap 486 of 500 and stayed out front to cross the finish line in P1.
With the win, Ryan Blaney gained 55 points and advanced to the Championship 4 race. He moved to the top position in the NASAR Cup Series points table with 5000 points. He will look to win back-to-back NASCAR Cup Series championships at Phoenix Raceway next week.
After a 10th-place finish at the 0.526-mile Martinsville track, Joey Logano gained 29 points and second place in the NASCAR Cup Series points table with 5000 points. He will look to claim his third Cup Series title.
Chase Elliott, who started from the front row, failed to use the advantage and finished second. He missed out on the opportunity to secure the final 4 spot and stands seventh in the points table.
Kyle Larson, who was seven points behind heading to Martinsville, also fell short to win the Championship 4 race berth. He finished third and is sixth in the playoffs points table with 2339 points.
William Byron is the only HMS driver to advance to the season-finale Phoenix ace. With a P6 finish, he gained 46 points and stands fourth in the championship standings.
