After a two-week break for the Olympics, the 2024 NASCAR season arrives at the Richmond Raceway in Richmond, Virginia, for the Cook Out 400. The season’s 23rd race will go live on USA Network at 6 pm ET on Sunday, August 11.
Cook Out 400 will be contested on a 0.75-mile short track. A total of 37 drivers will compete over 400 laps in an attempt to drive down victory lane. FOX Sports journalist Bob Pockrass tweeted the starting lineup for the 2024 Cook Out 400.
Who is on pole for Cook Out 400?
In Saturday's (August 10) Cup Series qualifying, Joe Gibbs Racing driver Denny Hamlin won his third pole of the 2024 NASCAR Cup season with a speed of 118.162 mph. It also marked his 54th career pole in the NASCAR Cup Series.
His teammate Martin Truex Jr. will share the front row with him after a lap of 117.822 mph.
They will be followed by Josh Berry, Chase Elliott, and Christopher Bell in the top five. Austin Dillon, the defending winner of the event, Chris Buescher, Bubba Wallace, Joey Logano, and Tyler Reddick completed the top 10.
The defending NASCAR Cup champion, Ryan Blaney, will start 11th on Sunday, August 11.
