Toni Breidinger recently came out to defend her dual career — racing and modeling. The NASCAR sensation is a renowned name in both fraternities and according to her, as much as she enjoys doing both, it also helps her "get behind the wheel."
Breidinger is an American professional stock car racing driver. She recently bagged her first full-time NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series driver's role. Besides this, she is also a renowned model, who worked for top brands such as Victoria's Secret, and GAP, and was featured in Sports Illustrated's Swimsuit Edition magazine most recently.
She has a tie with IMG Models, one of the top agencies in the fashion world, and no wonder why she is highly rated in the fashion world. Pointing her fingers at naysayers, Breidinger said she is comfortable racing and modeling as they work "perfectly" for her. Here's what she said in detail:
"It's kind of funny, cause everyone's like ‘oh, you have to do one thing. You have to be a race car driver or a model, you can't do both’,” Breidinger said. “They kind of work perfectly for me because I do leverage my modeling to help me get behind the wheel…they kind of really go hand in hand for me. And I feel like I'm able to balance them really well.”
"Some of my partners are involved in NASCAR and they sponsor other drivers and some of my other partners, they really don't know much about NASCAR and I kind of brought them into it,” she said. “So coming to some of my partners say, ‘hey, I'm in the Truck Series’, they're like, ‘OK, cool, we really know that is, but we're going to support you no matter what.’" (as per Forbes)
Toni Breidinger already had the Craftsman Truck Series experience when she raced with Tricon Garage under a part-time obligation. Besides this, she also raced in the NASCAR ARCA Menards Series, ARCA Menards Series East, and ARCA Menards Series West.
Toni Breidinger to race with Tricon Garage under full-time obligation
Tricon Garage recently signed Toni Breidinger as their full-time driver in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. She will drive the #5 Toyota Tundra for the 2025 season.
Reacting to her full-time debut, here's what she said,
"Racing full-time with Tricon is a dream for me,” Breidinger said in a statement. “It’s been a 15-year process to get here, but I’m so excited for this moment and ready to capitalize on it.”
Toni Breidinger is the winningest female driver in the USAC (United States Auto Club) races, with 19 victories to her name. She also holds the distinction of being the only female NASCAR driver to have 27 Top 10 finishes across all series (except Xfinity and Cup Series).
