NASCAR analyst Kenny Wallace has drawn comparisons between Brexton Busch and sporting icons like Tiger Woods and Jeff Gordon. Brexton, the 9-year-old son of Kyle Busch, recently emerged victorious in the Junior Sprint Division at the Tulsa Shootout.

Little Brexton Busch has been following the footsteps of his father Kyle. The 9-year-old, who is slowly but steadily learning the ropes of motorsports under the tutelage of his father, recently caught the world's attention after dropping an excellent performance in the 2025 Tulsa Shootout.

Participating in the Junior Sprint A-Main event at the Tulsa Expo Raceway, Brexton faced competition from peers like Owen Larson, son of Kyle Larson, and Wyatt Miller, grandson of Dale Earnhardt. Driving the No. 18B, Brexton showcased his composure, leading the 20-car field from start to finish to claim his maiden Golden Driller trophy.

With over 100 entrants vying for the Junior Sprint title, Brexton’s victory marked a significant milestone in his racing journey. Reflecting on his performance, NASCAR veteran Kenny Wallace acknowledged the young driver’s progress. Comparing him to legends, Wallace remarked [5:26]:

"My heart was so happy to see Brexton Busch [1:24]... Hell, I didn't start racing until I was 22. So nowadays if you don't get these kids into a race car racing at 5 years old, you're considered behind."

He added [5:48]:

"I remember Tiger Woods being on the Johnny Carson show as a baby, and here, all these years later, oh my god, and then the same with Jeff Gordon... Society doesn't allow you to wait anymore; they want everything hurried up."

At just nine years old, Brexton has already amassed 32 race wins across 13 tracks. His achievements include multiple championships, such as the Saturday Millbridge Beginner Box title (2022) and the Mountain Creek Beginner Box crown (2022), the Tuesday night Beginner Box Millbridge championship (2023).

Kenny Wallace lauds Kyle and Samantha's parenting as Brexton Busch succeeds in Tulsa

In the same clip, Kenny Wallace praised Kyle and Samantha Busch for striking the right balance between nurturing Brexton Busch's racing ambitions and allowing him to enjoy his childhood. He said:

"I really think these parents are doing a wonderful job raising their kids at the racetrack. They're allowing them to get out of the race car, be kids, hang out with your friends, but yet all the while teaching them geometry." (6:31)

Pointing out a stark contrast in the personalities of Brexton and Kyle Busch, Wallace said [1:36 onwards]:

"What I was more impressed about with Brexton was his interview after the race... We know that the Busch brothers have always been very intense with their interviews. But it appears that mama Samantha Busch has got a hold of Brexton. What a pleasant happy young man."
"I really think that Brexton drives like his father but acts like his mama."

Brexton's victory was particularly special as it marked his fourth attempt at the Tulsa Shootout. After qualifying for the A-Main race for the first time last year, he had finished 12th.
