Retired NASCAR driver and TV personality Kenny Wallace confirmed his upcoming 2025 racing plans in a recent social media post. The former co-host of the Cup Series pre-race show "NASCAR Raceday" said he'll be competing in the DIRTcar Nationals at the Volusia Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida next month.

The nine-time Xfinity Series winner confirmed his plans through an X post. Wallace quoted a post by DIRTcar Nationals promoting the event at Volusia Speedway with photos from his victory in the 2024 event. The Missouri native wrote:

"I will be racing the @DIRTcarNats at @VolusiaSpeedway from January 30th through February 8th. See you there 🏁"

Wallace discussed his intentions to compete at Volusia Speedway in one of his recent "Coffee With Kenny" videos on X. In the video, Wallace explains that the Florida track has a new schedule this year, but that isn't stopping him from getting behind the wheel. He said:

"We start racing January 30th, January 31st, and February 1st. It's a new schedule at Volusia this year. I don't know why, but we're running dirt races in nine nights. We start January 30th. You're gonna hear racers go, 'I'm going down in January this year.' That's because you race three days" (7:34 onwards).

Prior to getting back behind the wheel of a dirt car, the 61-year-old revealed in the same X video that he plans to take a "dream trip" to Italy the week prior.

"January 17th through the 27th, I'm going to fulfill a dream of mine. I'm going to Italy. Me and my buddy, John Scatoni," Wallace added. (6:42)

Kenny Wallace revealed "new tradition" for the holidays in social media post

Kenny Wallace took to social media on Christmas Eve to share with his followers a new Christmas tradition for the Wallace family. Instead of celebrating Christmas Day, Wallace explained how their family will now get together on Christmas Eve to allow his daughters to start their own Christmas Day traditions.

Wallace took to Instagram to post multiple family photos from Christmas Eve. He explained the new tradition in a lengthy caption, including how he and his wife, Kim, would opt to go to a casino on Christmas Day. Wallace added:

"NEW tradition for the Kenny Wallace family 😁 We are celebrating on Christmas Eve, so our girls can start their own family traditions. Kim said she wants to go to the casino on Christmas Day 😂 Merry Christmas everyone 😁❤️"

Wallace last competed in NASCAR back in 2015, with his final race being behind the wheel of the #20 Joe Gibbs Racing car in the Xfinity Series at Iowa. While he won nine Xfinity Series races throughout his career, Wallace never won in the Cup Series.

Wallace is well-known for his work as a NASCAR TV personality for FOX Sports and the former SPEED channel. He most notably was a co-host on "NASCAR Raceday," a NASCAR pre-race show.
