NASCAR driver AJ Allmendinger’s wife Tara Meador recently shared pictures of their one-year-old son, Aero James, wearing an Allmendinger t-shirt on social media.

Tara was crowned Mrs. North Carolina America in 2021 and was the second runner-up at the national pageant last year. She has over 20,000 followers on Instagram and often shares updates about her life on the platform. In the latest post, she wrote about the similarities between her one-year-old son and her husband.

"No doubt they are related. 🤣 AJ and Aero," Tara captioned the post.

Allmendinger and Tara married in December 2019 and welcomed their son in September 2023.

Meanwhile, Allmendinger, who competed full-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series last season, will race full-time in the Cup Series in 2025.

Allmendinger reached the Championship Four and finished third in points last year but won only one race compared to five in 2021 and 2022 in the series. The 43-year-old also had the lowest top-5 (5) and top-10 (18) finishes in three years.

This season, the Kaulig Racing driver will compete in the No. 16 car, which he drove in 2023. Allmendinger joined the team in 2019 and has since competed in three full-time seasons in the Xfinity and one full-time season in the Cup series with Kaulig Racing. Moreover, Allmendinger competed in 16 Cup Series races in 2024.

"This year has been nothing short of transformative" - AJ Allmendinger’s wife Tara looks back on 2024

AJ Allmendinger’s wife Tara talked about 2024 in a previous post, where she competed in the USOA Mrs. North Carolina 10 months after their son Aero was born and finished as the second runner-up.

"As I look back on this incredible year, my heart is filled with gratitude and pride. Competing as USOA Mrs. North Carolina, stepping on the national stage just 10 months postpartum, and achieving the honor of being Second Runner-Up at the national pageant—this year has been nothing short of transformative," Tara wrote.

Tara has previously opened up about Aero overcoming health issues. Aero was born with Sagittal Craniosynostosis, a condition where parts of the skull close too soon. She celebrated his recovery and anniversary in a post last month.

"From the moment we heard the diagnosis to the day we handed him over to the skilled hands of his surgical team, to the countless appointments and moments of worry—every step was worth it to see him thriving today...Happy Cranioanniversary, Aero! You are our miracle and joy; we are so proud of you," she wrote.

Aero had surgery at just three months old and wore a special helmet for months to help his head grow properly.
