As the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series pre-season is less than a month away, Bubba Wallace has started his preparation with a motivation to make this season count after major failure in the last few seasons. He has expressed a strong commitment to improving his performance in the upcoming 2025 season after failing to live up to the expectations in 2023 and 2024.
Bubba Wallace recently took to his X account to share about his preparation and mindset for the season. Reflecting on the disappointing past two seasons, he admitted his struggles and emphasized a renewed focus on personal well-being and preparation.
On X, here’s what Wallace wrote:
“Excited for this season to get underway. Took it upon myself to be better and do better. Got my ass kicked the last 2 seasons, plain and simple. No shame in saying that. Using it as motivation. I’ve been rocking the “just get by” mentality for too long.”
The 2023 season was much better for the #23 Toyota 23XI Racing driver as compared to 2024. He advanced to the 2023 playoffs before being eliminated in the Round of 12 and finished the season at 10th place in the final championship standings.
While Bubba Wallace started the 2024 season with a solid finish, he could not find the consistency throughout the year and missed out on the playoffs. He finished the season at 18th place in the standings.
Bubba Wallace also revealed that he is following a healthy lifestyle to stay active and fit for the nine-month-long NASCAR Cup Series season.
“Focused on my well being most importantly. Eating right, drinking right. Working out. Tired of looking like the grinch (can’t help the hair),” Wallace added in another post.
The 31-year-old Mobile, Alabama, native further shared how his wife Amanda is skeptical about the longevity of his new habits, but he is ready to prove her wrong.
In a follow-up post, Wallace wrote:
“I love my wife, but she thinks it’s a fad and I’m gonna stop next week. So excited to prove her wrong ☺️ In fact, I’ve been at it since the end of the season. The last 3 months have been the best ever. The mentals are at an all time high!! Couldn’t be happier!”
“2025 is gonna be a grind” – Bubba Wallace
23XI Racing driver is pumped up to kick off the 2025 NASCAR season on a high note. Competing for Michael Jordan and Denny Hamlin’s team in the series since 2021, the expectations are also high, and this time he is hoping for better results.
On his new journey, Wallace offered words of encouragement and said:
“To my people struggling to get started on a new journey. It’s tough as shit, no doubt. But I look at it as there is 24 hours in a day. What’s 30 minutes to walk, run, or ride the peloton? 30 minutes. The self gratitude after is so worth it. I’ll start by saying I believe in you! 2025 is gonna be a grind. Time to roll up the sleeves, grab a glove and get in the game!”
Bubba Wallace’s renewed focus and determination reflect that he is hungry to compete and achieve greater consistency on the track in 2025.
