New parents Bubba Wallace and Amanda Wallace had an eventful weekend, for different reasons. Bubba ran his first race since becoming a father at Talladega, while Amanda posted an update with their son during the race. The 23XI Racing team driver added one more top-ten finish to his stats at NASCAR's longest track.

Meanwhile, Amanda shared a picture of their son taken during the race. In a post shared on her Instagram stories, Becks Hayden is sleeping as the #23 Toyota driver's race is running on the TV in the background. Wallace is in the middle of four lanes in the pack, on the TV. Amanda's caption read,

"Not sure how Becks is sleeping when they are 4-wide and @bubbawallace is riding middle."

Bubba Wallace finished in ninth place at the YellaWood 500 on Sunday, October 6, and led three laps. His race earned him 32 points and he now stands 19th in the standings.

After qualifying in 26th place, the #23 Toyota driver had an impressive race at Talladega Superspeedway. By the end of stage 1, the 23XI Racing driver had moved up four spots and finished P22. In stage 2, he made a significant recovery, entering the top ten pack and earning seven points, finishing in P7. In the final stage of the race, with just five laps to go, Wallace got caught up in the biggest wreck of modern-era NASCAR racing, including 28 cars on the track, but he suffered minimal damage, finishing in the top ten.

"I've had a smile on my face" - Bubba Wallace on experiences with his baby boy

Despite having a rough start at the start of the season, 23XI Racing driver Bubba Wallace started recovering in the late season. However, he didn't manage to secure a spot in the playoffs for the 2024 season. He ranks 19th in the driver's standings with 12 top-ten and six top-five finishes. Additionally, he has three DNFs in 31 races.

On the personal front, his newborn son Becks Hayden keeps him focused.

Before the qualifying lap of the YellaWood 500 race held on October 6, 2024, 23XI Racing driver Wallace talked about his new experience of being a father. Wallace said (via NBC),

"I've been focused on the baby boy. What a blessing he has been to our family. Becks is doing really good. He sleeps a lot, which is great. So, people talk about lack of sleep. I hope my wife isn't watching him, I feel good, I hope she feels good.
"But yeah, everything's been going really good and this first week, I'm enjoying it. I've had a smile on my face. We've been learning what not to do. I feel like I'm a master at changing diapers. I've never changed a diaper before until my own. So I figured that out. But I thought I'm going to get humbled here in the next couple weeks. He's got some tricks up his sleeves already. But all in all, it's just been a really good week."

Wallace qualified for Talladega in P26 with a best time of 53.064 seconds and a top speed of 180.461 mph. He was 0.754 seconds behind the leader, Michael McDowell, securing his career's sixth pole position.
