Richard Childress Racing recently unveiled the new paint scheme for Kyle Busch's No. 8 Chevrolet. While NASCAR fans appreciated the new sleek livery, some slammed the Cup Series team, citing Busch's underwhelming 2024 season.

Rebel Bourbon joined hands with the two-time Cup Series champion and RCR's #8 as the primary sponsor on a multi-year deal. Although the 39-year-old Busch couldn't find the victory lane, the Kentucky Spirit company has unveiled a wooden-looking design as Busch seeks to redeem himself next season.

In a post on X(formerly Twitter), the Welcome, North Carolina-based organization shared a video of the new look and captioned it by writing:

"New year, new look. The No. 8 Rebel Bourbon Chevrolet is ready to get rowdy."

Soon after RCR dropped the new look, fans of the community jumped in to voice their opinion, with one saying:

"Now give him[Kyle Busch] fast cars by 2025 or @LostSchemes has a plan"

Another fan took a dig at the Cup team and wrote:

"Hope you guys bought new engines."

Meanwhile, two more fans slammed the #8 Chevy car for being slow and shared their opinions. One of them said:

"Hope I don't need Rebel Bourbon to get through this coming season! Hope yall working on how it drives & not just how it looks. LFG KFB"
"Looks great. Now pour some of that bourbon in the tank to make it go faster," said another user.

Here are a few more reactions who appreciated the livery along with an optimistic response to Kyle Busch's 2025 season:

"Now, if you can only make the performance in 2025 match the awesomeness of the scheme," wrote one user.
"Good looking scheme Here’s to hoping the performances is good," a second user said.
"2025 is your year, just like aged Bourbon! Go get them!" wrote another user.

Kyle Busch finished his second full-time season with the Richard Childress-owned Cup team in 20th place for the Driver's Championship. Although winless this year, the Las Vegas, Nevada native secured three victories in his first 15 races the previous season.

Rebel Bourbon announced its sponsorship with Kyle Busch and the No. 8 Chevrolet in January 2024 and the duo debuted at the Richmond Raceway in March.

In a press release, Philip Lux, brand manager for Rebel Bourbon, spoke about being the primary sponsor of RCR's Busch and said (via NBC Sports):

"We looked at a lot of sponsorship opportunities across several different leagues, and this was the perfect fit. “We didn’t just want to put our logo on something and call it a day."
"We wanted a team who does their own thing and embodies the essence of our brand. With Kyle and the RCR team, we found the perfect partner to bring the spirit and attitude of the Rebel brand to fans who feel the same way," Lux added.

Kyle Busch ended the 2024 Cup season at P20, his worst final driver standings since his full-time debut in NASCAR's premier division. He managed two runner-up finishes in the final two races of the regular season and ended the year with five top-five and 10 top-10 finishes in 36 starts.
