Former NASCAR driver Kenny Wallace recently revealed his choice for the best car ever made and named two big manufacturers as his favorite top two. But this time he looked back and expressed his views on the seven-time Cup Series champion Richard Petty's legendary #43 car on X.

Wallace is a retired stock car racing driver and TV personality. He is the brother of one of the well-recognized NASCAR drivers, Rusty Wallace. After retiring from professional racing in 2015, Wallace worked as a reporter at Fox Sports for a few years. Despite retiring from stock car racing, Wallace sometimes races on local dirt tracks as a hobby.

Recently, the NASCAR veteran talked about one of the best-looking race cars in sports history and shared the image of Richard Petty's iconic #43 Dodge Charger. Wallace captioned the image:

"One of the best looking @NASCAR race cars in history🏁"

The post was originally shared by NASCAR legend Mark Martin, where he highlighted that there is more than a single reason behind Petty being the King of stock car racing. The King dominated the Winston Cup Series with his #43 Dodge Charger and won three of his seven titles with the car in 1972, 1974, and 1975.

Petty won 31 races with his Dodge Charger from 1972 to 1978 while driving for Petty Enterprises. Also, Petty holds the record for most wins (200) and poles (123) by a driver in stock car history. Additionally, he won seven Daytona 500 races, the most a driver has won in stock car racing, solidifying his legacy. Like Wallace revealed the best-looking car in NASCAR, he also revealed his choice for the most iconic car ever made.

NASCAR veteran revealed his top picks for the ‘most iconic car ever’ question

Recently, retired Fox Sports reporter Kenny Wallace revealed his top picks from two big manufacturers for the most iconic cars ever made. The question was asked by the high-performance parts-selling company JEGS Performance on X.

The JEGS Performance team page asked their fan's take on "the most iconic car ever made," and Kenny Wallace joined them in the debate, revealing the top two iconic cars ever made.

"The corvette. A close second is the the Burt Reynolds FIREBIRD😁" wrote Wallace.

The former professional race car driver opted for the Chevrolet Corvette as his first choice. General Motors and Chevrolet first manufactured the American sports car in 1953. The car has traveled a long way and is still in production after over 70 years.

The car is in its eighth generation, C8, since 2020, featuring a two-door coupe and a two-door convertible/roadster version. The manufacturers have stuck to the stingray design since the second generation of the car. The current generation price starts from $69,995 for the basic trim and $88,745 for the top trim.

Wallace also pointed out that the 1978 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am was a close second on his list. The car gained mass popularity when it was featured in Burt Reynolds' movie 'Smokey and the Bandit' in 1977.
