Spire Motorsports recently interviewed three of their drivers, challenging them to name as many country artists as possible in 20 seconds. However, Carson Hocevar, who is in his rookie NASCAR Cup Series season, was able to name just one artist, and it was Taylor Swift.

Carson Hocevar joined Spire Motorsports as the driver of the number 77 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 this year. Before joining the Chevy team in 2024, the 20-year-old had made six starts in the Cup Series. Five of those were for Legacy Motor Club and one was for Spire Motorsports.

According to an official NASCAR report, Hocevar recorded an average finish of 22.5 in those six attempts. His best performance was a P11 finish at Bristol Motor Speedway for LMC.

While his teammates Corey LaJoie and Zane Smith were able to name several artists including Beyonce and Luke Bryan, Carson Hocevar confirmed his "Swiftie" status and said,

"I only know one; the only one I need to know: Taylor Swift."

Carson Hocevar, a former Truck Series driver, is one of the most promising young athletes in NASCAR today. His driving prowess enabled him to skip the Xfinity Series and directly land a Cup ride with Spire Motorsports.

In 2020, Carson Hocevar won the prestigious Winchester 400, a crown jewel event that has witnessed veteran drivers like Rusty Wallace and Kyle Busch in the victory lane in the past. Hocevar is currently 23rd in the NASCAR Cup Series standings, with 322 points under his belt.

"I do appreciate her music,"- Kyle Larson on Taylor Swift's songs

Former Cup Series champion Kyle Larson is not a fan of Taylor Swift. However, his six-year-old daughter Audrey is an ardent follower of the 34-year-old pop star. Therefore, Larson decided to surprise his daughter by taking her to Paris for a Taylor Swift concert.

Despite not being a fan, Larson wore a Taylor Swift-themed t-shirt and bracelets that his wife and daughter had given him. Claiming that he was quite close to looking like a perfect "Swiftie", Larson told renowned journalist Jordan Bianchi,

"I don’t feel like I’m a Swiftie at all. I do appreciate her music and how hard she works. But no, I’m not a Swiftie. There were lots of men dressed very uniquely at that concert, and I had the T-shirt and (my wife) gave me a couple of friendship bracelets to put on, so that was as close as I was getting."

However, Kenny Wallace, former NASCAR driver and motorsport enthusiast, argued that Kyle Larson is indeed a 'Swiftie'; Larson just didn't know it yet. Responding to Larson's words as reported by Speed Freaks on X, Wallace wrote,

"This is awesome@KyleLarsonRacin💯 You are a Swifty. you just don’t know it 😂😂"

With that said, whether Larson admits being a Taylor Swift fan in the future is something we'll have to wait and watch.
