Former NASCAR driver Kevin Harvick recently went on a hunting and fishing trip with his son Keelan Harvick and daughter Piper Harvick. Kevin, who has been married since 2001, has two children with wife DeLana.
Their oldest Keelan competes in kart racing and has already won seven races in Legends cars racing. The 12-year-old hunted an 8-point deer in the same field where his dad took his biggest kill a few years ago.
Realtree's Tyler Jordan shared Keelan's update on X with a picture of the Harvick family.
"Biggest buck for @KeelanHarvick. Congrats on this stud 8 point. Shot in the same field where his dad took his biggest deer a few years ago. Special memories with the fam @Realtree," Jordan wrote.
Harvick also shared some pictures from the trip on Instagram and wrote:
"Let the good times roll!"
Keelan is set to compete with Rackley W.A.R. in Pro Late Model events in 2025. Meanwhile, Kevin, who works as a commentator for Fox Sports, will expand his race schedule in the Pro Late Model and the Super Late Model of the Cars Tour West to 15 races next year.
"Keep pushing down the road of 25-30 Late Model races" - Kevin on son Keelan Harvick's plans in 2025
Keelan Harvick started racing go-karts at age 7 at Trackhouse Motorplex in 2020. He competed in his first Limited Late Model race at Florence Motor Speedway in November this year. He drove the No. 62 Hunt Brothers Pizza Chevrolet and finished 8th in the 96-lap event.
Kevin Harvick, who retired from NASCAR last year, spoke about his son's racing career after the race at Florence Motor Speedway.
"I think we kind of threw [Keelan] to the wolves. I didn’t really put all this together for him to be in the biggest Limited race of the year, but it worked out really well because he got to race against a really competitive field. His race craft tonight was something I was proud of. He did an amazing job in the car," Kevin Harvick said.
The 49-year-old also shared their plans to compete against each other in Limited Late Model races in the next year.
"[Friday] confirmed what we had planned next year. We'll probably keep pushing down the road of 25-30 Late Model races for next year. Now it starts with all the little things. The last tenth-and-a half, two-tenths are the hard part, [along with] learning when to go, how hard to go, how to qualify and restarts," he added.
Keelan also raced in the Cook Out Summer Shootout and INEX Winter Heat this season.
