Justin Marks recently spoke about the lawsuit filed by Michael Jordan's team, 23XI Racing, against NASCAR. He prefered not to comment publicly on the legal situation and said it is best to focus on his own team.

After both 23XI Racing and Front Row Motorsports refused to sign NASCAR's final charter agreement last month, the teams took legal action on October 2. The teams were unhappy with NASCAR’s decision regarding the charters after two years of negotiations and filed an antitrust lawsuit filed with the federal court in North Carolina.

Marks, who is the co-owner of Trackhouse Racing, said that the situation will take a while to resolve and wants to keep his opinions to himself.

"I think it's a wait and see game. I mean, this thing is going to take a long time, I think, to get to any sort of point where we know what the future looks like. I mean, really, for us, I have opinions on it, but I've learned in the last couple of years it's probably good to just keep those to myself," Marks told Bob Pockrass of Fox Sports.
"I think that for us, we just have to focus on the Trackhouse and ultimately we got to a place where I was comfortable signing the contract. I mean, I think we've done a great job the last couple of years building, I think, a valuable business under the current arrangement. And the new one will continue that in our standpoint," he added.

Marks made it clear that he wants to focus on Trackhouse Racing and said his team was comfortable with signing the new charter contract.

"Want to win this weekend more than anything" - Denny Hamlin after team sues NASCAR

Co-owner of 23XI Racing, Denny Hamlin, recently commented on the playoffs after the lawsuit against NASCAR earlier this week.

The Joe Gibbs Racing driver, who will start in 8th place for the second playoff race of the Round of 12, said people should not doubt his focus going into the YellaWood 500 at Talladega Superspeedway.

"Make no mistake that the competitor in me, you don't think that I want to come out here and win this weekend more than any? So I'm going to give it all I can,” Hamlin said before the race (NBC Sports).

23XI and Front Row Motorsports have hired prominent sports lawyer, Jeffrey Kessler and have demanded damages for unfair rules that have affected the sport since the charter agreements were introduced in 2016.

The two teams are also accusing NASCAR and its CEO Jim France of creating a "monopoly." NASCAR has exclusive control over the tracks used in the series, which prevents other racing leagues from starting. Moreover, the governing body makes teams buy parts of the next-gen cars from only certain suppliers at fixed prices.
