Justin Allgaier, a NASCAR Xfinity Series driver and devoted father, recently shared a heartwarming birthday message for his daughter Harper, who celebrated her 11th birthday.
The 38-year-old currently drives the No. 7 Chevrolet Camaro for JR Motorsports in the Xfinity Series and fills in as a substitute driver for Hendrick Motorsports in the NASCAR Cup Series. He is married to Ashley, and they have two daughters, Harper and Willow.
Allgaier shared a touching post on his Instagram on August 8 and expressed his amazement at how quickly his daughter has grown. He praised Harper and mentioned how proud he and his wife, Ashley, are of her.
"Where do I even start? How did you turn 11 so fast, Harper Grace? It feels like just yesterday I was holding you for the first time and looking into those beautiful eyes. You’re such an amazing kid, and your mom, Ashley Allgaier and I are so proud of you," he wrote.
He hoped Harper felt loved and special on her big day. Allgaier also hinted that his younger daughter, Willow, was a bit sad that it wasn’t her birthday too.
"Even though the weather wasn’t the best today, I hope you still felt loved and special. Willow might have been a little upset that it wasn’t her birthday too, but I’m glad we all got to enjoy some laughs, cake, and good times together, " he added.
Justin Allgaier won the ARCA Re/Max Series championship in 2008 and was named Rookie of the Year in the Nationwide Series in 2009.
After leaving HScott Motorsports, he joined JR Motorsports for the Xfinity Series in 2016. He had a successful season with several top-ten finishes and even achieved a second-place finish at Talladega.
Justin Allgaier's NASCAR career: ups and downs
Justin Allgaier made his NASCAR Cup Series debut a decade ago, in 2014. Despite facing setbacks, including a few crashes and missing one race, he finished 29th in the standings that year.
For now, he focuses on the Xfinity Series. He has had a strong start this year with an eighth-place finish at Daytona and a win at Darlington. He is currently second in the standings with 705 points.
JR Motorsports recently announced that Sam’s Club will be on the hood of Justin Allgaier’s No. 7 car at Daytona as part of a deal with Hellmann’s.
Allgaier also stepped in as a relief driver for Kyle Larson's car in the Cup Series this year. Before the race was prematurely stopped by rain, he had moved up to 13th place from his starting position of 40th.
However, these efforts have not landed the 38-year-old any offers for a full-time Cup Series ride in 2025.
