Jenna Petty, fiancée of former Wood Brothers Racing Cup Series driver Harrison Burton, took to social media recently to wish her father a happy birthday. The fiancée of the driver expressed how her father, Shohn, is the best "girl dad" of all time.
Petty posted to her Instagram story a photo of her younger self alongside her father. Jenna penned a heartfelt happy birthday message that read:
"happy birthday to the best girl dad there ever was. always putting me & my dreams on a pedestal🖤 i love you!!!"
Petty was active on Instagram a few days prior as she helped spread some holiday cheer with a few photos of herself and Burton. Petty added a Christmas-related caption that read:
"each christmas gets merrier & brighter🎁🎄"
A few weeks prior to that, Petty was also active on Instagram when she and Burton took a trip to New York City. The couple took multiple photos together, to which Petty posted them with a caption that read:
"loved every new york minute🫶🎄"
Burton and Petty got engaged on March 27 of this year. On the racing side of things, Harrison Burton wrapped up his third and final season behind the wheel of the #21 Wood Brothers Racing Ford. However, the North Carolina native went out in style as he scored his first career win at Daytona in August and made his first playoff appearance. He was eliminated in the opening Round of 16.
Josh Berry is set to take over the #21 Wood Brothers machine in 2025. Burton, meanwhile, is heading back down to the Xfinity Series to pilot the #15 AM Racing Ford. He has four wins in the series, with his last victory coming in the fall of 2020 at Martinsville in the #20 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota.
Jenna Petty's wholehearted message after Harrison Burton's first Cup win
On the final lap of the 2024 Coke Zero Sugar 400 at Daytona, Harrison Burton rocketed past Kyle Busch to earn his first career NASCAR Cup Series victory. It was the 100th win for Wood Brothers Racing.
In a lengthy Instagram post, Jenna Petty, Burton's fiancée, took to Instagram to express how proud she was of him for capturing that elusive first Cup Series victory. Petty wrote:
"3 years of heartbreak, hardships, and horrible luck led to this moment. this surreal moment where it was all worth it. i could not be prouder to be by your side through every step of this journey. you are the best person i know, and as many would agree, you can’t help but want for you to win - and last night, when you were given a once in a lifetime opportunity, you capitalized, and did just that."
Harrison Burton is the son of retired Cup Series driver and current NBC NASCAR broadcaster Jeff Burton, who scored 23 career Cup victories. Harrison is also the nephew of Ward Burton, who won five Cup races including the 2002 Daytona 500.
