Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and his wife Madyson Joye recently exchanged some banter on Instagram. Stenhouse Jr. had put out an Instagram story asking if he should warn his wife, who was sleeping outside, about an incoming storm.
The JTG Daugherty Racing driver and Madyson have known each other for more than four years. After dating for two years, the couple were married in Charleston, South Carolina on October 26, 2022.
In this recent social media post, the #47 Stenhouse Jr. took a picture of his wife Joye, who was relaxing near the swimming pool asking if should wake her up amid an apparently approaching storm.
"When you're laying out sleeping and don't know there's a storm coming. Should I wake her...@madysonjoye" wrote Stenhouse Jr.
Joye reposted Stenhouse Jr.'s post on her social media account later, writing in response:
"Don't worry, the thunder woke me up"
Joye, a native of Ashville, Ohio has a graduate degree in Communications from Ohio State University, followed by a master's degree in Organizational Communication. She previously worked for Richard Childress Racing as the manager for licensing and retail, as stated on her LinkedIn profile. Currently, she is the communications manager for the Drivers Advisory Council.

Before competing full-time in the Cup Series for JTG Daugherty Racing, Stenhouse Jr. was the Xfinity Series champion for two consecutive seasons. In his Cup Series stint, the 36-year-old has claimed three wins in over 420 races, one of them being the prestigious Daytona 500 win in 2023.
Stenhouse Jr. and his wife, who have been married for more than two years, recently shared a joint social media post, announcing the birth of a baby boy. The couple have named their son Stetson Steele Stenhouse, as shared on the post.
"Stetson Steele Stenhouse. Born July 4, 2024 | 8lbs 7oz | 21 inches long. Thank you, Jesus, for this wonderful blessing! 💙"
Responses to the post have included many goodwill wishes from partners of other Cup Series drivers.
