Although the former driver did not secure any more championships, he came very close to defending his title in 2015, after finishing second to two-time Cup Series champion Kyle Busch.
Meanwhile, following Stewart Haas Racing's closure, Rodney Childers, who was the crew chief for SHR's #4 team, driven by Josh Berry, has signed a multi-year contract with Spire Motorsports, assuming the role of crew chief for their #7 team.
Kevin Harvick retired from racing full-time in NASCAR following the end of the 2023 Cup Series campaign. Harvick currently hosts the Happy Hour Podcast and is the co-owner of the zMAX CARS Tour grassroots series with NASCAR legend Dale Earnhardt Jr.
