Ahead of the Chicago street race, Ryan Blaney took some time off to be with his girlfriend, Gianna Tulio. The couple celebrated a personal milestone in the 'Windy City', moments of which were uploaded by Tulio on her social media account.
The 2023 NASCAR Cup Series Champion, Blaney, has struggled for form this year. Apart from the win at the inaugural Iowa Corn 350 race, the Team Penske driver's season has been inconsistent.
With the competition entering the final stretch of the regular Series, Blaney decided to take some time off his busy schedule to celebrate a special moment (fourth anniversary) with his long-time girlfriend Tulio. The modeling ambassador for Hooters shared a few pictures of her and Blaney on her Instagram page (Both in stories and a post).
Here's a look at the post, captioned:
"07/06/24 film of our day in chi town & 4 year anniversary 🤩✨❤️🏁"
Also, take a look at the stories shared by Tulio:
For reference, Blaney and Tulio began dating in 2020. After spending three years together, the couple decided to take the relationship to the next level. They got engaged on December 12, 2023. Blaney and Tulio are expected to tie the knot soon.
A brief look at Ryan Blaney's 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season with Team Penske so far
On the back of the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series championship, Ryan Blaney began the 2024 season on a positive note. However, the reigning champion had a mixed start in the first five races.
Despite starting the Busch Light Clash on a lowly 23rd position, Blaney managed to maximize the result in the season-opening race on the podium (third place). But the #12 driver was unable to maintain the momentum in the races at Daytona International Speedway, finishing 18th in Duel 2 at DAYTONA and 30th in the Daytona 500 race.
Blaney's season beyond Daytona saw a lot of ups and downs. The Team Penske driver has made eight Top 10 finishes, five Top 5 finishes, and three DNFs out of the 22 races completed thus far. He also grabbed pole position at the Bristol Motor Speedway.
The highlight of Blaney's season was the Iowa Corn 350 race at the Iowa Speedway, where he managed to win against the likes of William Byron and Chase Elliott. As for the upcoming Grant Park 165 race at the Chicago Street Course, Blaney has qualified in 17th place.
Summing up the season so far, Ryan Blaney has amassed a total of 560 points. The Ohio-based racer is currently in eighth place, 104 points adrift of championship leader Kyle Larson.
