Ryan Blaney's fiance Gianna Tulio visited the Las Vegas Motor Speedway to see her future husband in action. While she was at the racetrack, the 25-year-old was handed a t-shirt, apparently by a race fan. How the defending Cup Series champion was mentioned on the apparel prompted Gianna to showcase it on her Instagram story.
Blaney and Tulio got engaged in December 2023. While the former has carved his name as a dominant NASCAR driver, the latter is a renowned fashion model, from swimwear to fashion statement dresses. Gianna, who hails from South Florida, was in Las Vegas and closely watched the Team Penske driver take on the rivals.
Blaney's race ended on a poor note in P32. He started from the last because of the backup car, courtesy of his hard crash during the practice that rendered his Ford irreparable for the Round of 8 opener. Furthermore, the Ohio native's day turned worse after he got collected in Tyler Reddick's mess, on Lap 89.
While Gianna was at the track, seeing her fiance take on the rivals, she was handed a t-shirt with Blaney's #12 Ford Mustang and "Ryan Fu**ing Blaney" printed. The design prompted the 2021 Miss Hooters winner to share about the apparel on her Instagram. She wrote:
"The t-shirt was handed at the track>"
While Ryan Blaney's performance has jeopardized his Championship 4 prospects, his teammate Joey Logano has punched his Phoneix ticket after clinching the South Point 400 win.
"We’re definitely not out of it": Ryan Blaney opens up on advancing to the Championship 4 race
The defending Cup Series champion was nowhere near Reddick's wreckage but still got collected in the chaos. After the 23XI Racing driver's Toyota door-slammed Brad Keselowski, the latter's #6 Ford drifted toward the infield and returned to the field, squeezing Ryan Blaney into the outside wall.
The Team Penske driver tried to escape but got clipped, and damaged his right rear toe link. As a result, the Round of 8 opener ended on a disappointing note for the 12-time Cup Series race winner. It's worth mentioning that Blaney was the only Ford driver after the Charlotte Roval race to have qualified for the Round of 8. Logano entered the picture afterward as Alex Bowman was stripped of the 20 points earned due to a post-race infraction.
Blaney reflected on his chaotic race weekend while negating that his championship bid was over. He said, via NASCAR:
“It’s definitely not the best of days. It was just a rough weekend overall. I don’t know what to do about it, to be honest with you, running over something and having a hole in it in practice. And then just getting clipped by the 6 (Keselowski) there. I thought I could get around him and didn’t know if he’d come up the race track and then by the time he was kind of on the track it was too late. I got clipped and bent everything all to hell, so it was just a rough weekend. We still have two more weeks, so we’re definitely not out of it."
Ryan Blaney is 47 points below the cutline and is seventh in the Cup Series standings.
