Kyle Busch's wife Samantha was enraged after seeing her husband come home with a fourth DNF this season. The Richard Childress Racing driver is yet to win a race in the 2024 season.

The 331-lap dash returned to the Nashville Superspeedway for the fourth time. The scheduled run of 300 laps was exteneded beyond expectations as multiple cautions and chaotic moments shuffled the 38 high-octane cars.

While others succumbed to repeated restarts and fuel mishaps, Joey Logano braved against the odds to snap his 49-race winless streak. On the other hand, Kyle Busch neared a top-5 finish despite kicking off his run from the 27th place on the grid. For the first two stages, the RCR driver couldn't catch up with the frontrunners and kept running in the rear of the pack.

However, as the final stage birthed several cautions and overtimes, Busch climbed the charts and placed his #8 Chevy among the contenders. But, during the third overtime restart, the Nevada native's pursuit of churning a promising outcome was destroyed by Hendrick Motorsports' drivers.

Kyle Larson was ahead of Busch when he ran out of fuel and the latter scrounged for room to pass the #5 Chevy. But Chase Elliott was unaware of Larson's trouble and accelarated hard into the RCR driver's rear bumper, spinning the two-time Cup Series champion out of the race.

Kyle Busch's first DNF this season came at the World Wide Technology Raceway. Furthermore, he was fresh off two consective DNFs from the Iowa Speedway and New Hampshire Motor Speedway and the Nashville mishap resulted in a third consecutive DNF.

Kyle Busch's wife Samantha Busch reacted to her husband's continued struggles. Taking her frustration to X, she wrote:

"I can’t with this year. 😡".

"It was a bit surprising for me"- Kyle Larson after no throttle response led to Kyle Busch's wreck

Shortly before the white flag was about to out, Austin Cindric and Noah Gragson collided, sending the race into an overtime. From that point, a domino effect of cautions ensued and it took five restarts before Joey Logano finally sealed the deal.

As a result, the scheduled race of 300 laps was extended until Lap 331 and with that, a major change in strategies took place as the teams' focal point became fuel conservation. Though Kyle Larson's #5 Chevy was low on gas, the HMS driver's dash didn't signal about the scarcity. Thus, he was caught off guard when the throttle didn't respond to his push.

While Larson tried to pull up to the top line, the engine didn't fire and slowed the pack behind him. Kyle Busch aimed to pass through the inside line but got clipped by Chase Elliott and couldn't help but see a potential top-5 finish dropping from his grasp.

After wrapping up his Ally 400 run in eight place, Larson outlined how he was unaware of low fuel which cost Busch.

"Hate that for Kyle [Busch]. I had no warning, we obviously knew we were really close on fuel, it was going to be stretch to make it but I had no low fuel pressure alarm or anything on my dash. It was a bit surprising for me when I went for the throttle and it just never went," Larson said via Frontstretch on X (0.45).

Kyle Busch is currently ranked 17th in the driver's standings, with 395 points to his name.
