NASCAR driver Alex Bowman's long-time sponsor Best Friends Animal Society has returned for the fifth time this season. Along with his primary sponsor Ally Racing, Best Friends Animal Society's paint scheme for the #48 Chevrolet was seen at Phoenix Raceway last season. Since their partnership, Bowman and Ally Racing have donated $650,000 to the charity outfit and its associate partners.
Alex Bowman pilots the #48 Chevrolet for Hendrick Motorsports, competing full-time in the Cup Series. In his 10-year career in NASCAR's top division, Bowman has driven down victory lane 8 times. Moreover, the Arizona native has secured 92 top-ten finishes in 317 race starts.
Recently, Best Friends Animal Society shared an update on X, announcing their return with the #48 driver for the 2025 Cup Series campaign. Sharing a post by the #48 team's primary sponsor Ally Racing, the post was captioned:
"We are honored to have the support of @Alex_Bowman and @allyracing and look forward to more lifesaving in 2025! #SaveThemAll ^kw"
Meanwhile, there was speculation about Alex Bowman's future with Hendrick Motorsports in the final half of the 2024 Cup Series season. Bowman had qualified for the playoffs after winning the Grant Park 165, the second edition of the Chicago Street Race in August. However, his playoff journey came to an end after the Round of 12, while all his HMS teammates advanced to the next round.
However, despite the speculation, Alex Bowman is set to return behind the wheel of the iconic #48 HMS Chevy for the fifth consecutive season.
"Excited to see what 2025 holds": Alex Bowman upbeat about starting the upcoming season strong with Rick Hendrick and Co.
Alex Bowman delivered one of his best Cup Series seasons statistically in 2024. Across 36 races, he recorded 17 top-ten and 8 top-five finishes, with an impressive average finish of 14.75. Notably, this outperformed Cup Series champion Joey Logano's average finish of 17.11.
However, Bowman's playoff run ended sooner than anticipated. Reflecting on his 2024 season, Bowman recently shared insights into his performance and outlined goals for the upcoming campaign, which kicks off in just five weeks. (via NASCAR)
"This year, it didn’t start the year great, but we turned it around pretty quickly. So yeah, I mean, I think we’ve done a lot of the right things. I think just kind of being on the other side of it, it definitely feels good." Bowman said
"Hopefully, we can start there as a baseline, right?" Bowman said. "I think that’s the biggest thing is trying to operate at that level to start and have that be our baseline and go up from there. So yeah, excited to see what 2025 holds. I think we did a really good job to end the season, and looking forward to it," he added
The 2025 Cup Series season opener, the Daytona 500 is scheduled on Sunday, February 16th at 2:30 PM Eastern time.
