While Denny Hamlin was signing autographs for his fans, one eager fan approached him with a unique request for an internship. The 23XI Racing co-owner responded with a touch of humor. He suggested the fan email his resume to the official email address of the 23XI Racing team.

After Tyler Reddick won the Talladega race this year in the presence of Michael Jordan, Denny Hamlin decided to ramp up merchandise sales. Not limited to that, Hamlin has designated a special area for fans in his expansive 114,000-square-foot facility near Charlotte, North Carolina, known as Airspeed. The fans can buy exclusive 23XI gear from the Jordan Brand, available only on-site. However, fans are now even ready to do an internship in exchange for 23XI merchandise.

Denny Hamlin shared a photo on his Instagram story showing the fan's hand-written sign, which read:

"Aero Engin. Major seeking race intern will work for merch"

Hamlin captioned his response to the story:

"Send resumes to @23xiracing"

Denny Hamlin, marking his 20th year in the NASCAR Cup series—all with Joe Gibbs Racing—has notched 54 wins and 348 top-10 finishes in 665 races. Despite his success, the 43-year-old has yet to clinch a championship title, something he continues to strive for.

The current #11 Joe Gibbs Racing driver is also open to the possibility of racing for his own team, 23XI Racing, one day. In a discussion with Sports Business Journal, he shared that he would only consider switching to a full-time driving role at 23XI if he felt the equipment matched or surpassed what he currently has at Joe Gibbs Racing. Hamlin said:

“I’m slowly but surely starting to believe that 23XI is an equal to the position I’m in right now.”

How was the result for Denny Hamlin at Pocono Raceway?

Denny Hamlin fell short of securing a record eighth NASCAR Cup victory at Pocono Raceway. Although he overtook Alex Bowman with seven laps out of 160 remaining, he couldn’t catch up to race leader Ryan Blaney. During his penultimate pit stop, Hamlin dropped nine positions, which set him back for the rest of the race.

Hamlin, who had led for the majority of the race with 31 laps at the front, found himself trailing Ryan Blaney by about two seconds after the Team Penske driver took the lead with 44 laps to go.

Hamlin managed to reduce the gap slightly in the closing laps, but he never got close enough to challenge for the lead, ultimately watching Blaney take the checkered flag with a lead of 1.312 seconds.

In the five races leading up to Sunday, Hamlin's performance was less than stellar, finishing 24th or worse in four of them, with his highest finish being 12th at Nashville. With only five races left before the playoffs, he's currently fourth in the points standings, trailing the new leader, Chase Elliott, by just 20 points.
