NASCAR veteran Kenny Wallace considered Dale Earnhardt Jr.‘s wife Amy, a 'gangster'. Talking about his experience of being on Dale Jr.‘s podcast, Wallace mentioned that he liked it when Amy was on the set at the Bojangles studio, deeming her as someone who “de-bulls**ts” everything.

In an episode of Coffee with Kenny posted on Saturday, November 23, the 61-year-old American laughed as he said (via X, formerly Twitter),

“I don't know if you've gone over there to Dirty Mo Media...the Dale Jr. Download. I love it when Amy Earnhardt's on there. Because she de-bulls**ts everything. She's gangster as all hell,” Wallace said. (4:10)

Wallace further commented how Amy might be a gangster to others, but is a loving partner who takes good care of her husband. At times, she even helps Earnhardt Jr. decide his outfit.

“Amy comes in at least once a month to the Dale Jr. Download and it's like, Amy, do you got Dale Jr.? Amy dresses Dale Jr. I swear,” Wallace said. “They're a great couple. I'm convinced that Amy takes care of Dale Jr.”

Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Amy Earnhardt have been married since 31st December 2016. The following year, Dale Jr. announced his formal retirement from the sport. However, his itch to race never subsided, as every year since then, Dale Jr. has been running at least one race for his team, JR Motorsports. His last race at the Xfinity level was in September at Bristol Motor Speedway where he finished seventh.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Amy have two daughters together, Isla Rose Earnhardt, who was born in April 2018, and Nicole Lorraine Earnhardt, who was born in October 2020. The family of four currently lives on a 300-acre property in Mooresville, North Carolina.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. could have won a championship with DEI, according to Kenny Wallace

Dale Earnhardt Jr. won 26 races throughout his career which includes a pair of victories in the crown jewel Daytona 500. He was voted NMPA's Most Popular Driver 15 years in a row. Speaking on his podcast last year, Kenny Wallace believed that Earnhardt Jr. could have won a championship had he not left Dale Earnhardt Inc. back in 2007 and moved to Hendrick Motorsports.

Notably, Wallace was Dale Jr.'s teammate at DEI briefly when the former filled in for former driver Steve Park. Wallace said (as quoted by DailyDownforce)

"If Dale Earnhardt Jr. could have worked it out with Teresa, he would have went on to win a championship and won it all. That's my opinion," Wallace said in one of his podcast episodes.

Wallace further noted that with Tony Eury Sr. as his crew chief and Tony Eury Jr. as his car chief, Dale Earnhardt Jr. had the best crew by his side. However, Dale Jr. had his crew swapped with his teammate Michael Waltrip's No. 15 team and thus ended what Wallace called "the dream team".

"They had it all. Dale Jr. was just better right there with Tony Eury Jr. and Tony Eury Sr."

Things ultimately did not work out between JR Motorsports and Teresa Earnhardt (Dale Jr.'s stepmother and then-owner of DEI) either and Dale Jr. had to make the move. Currently, Jr. owns a race team, a Late Model series, a media powerhouse, and a hand-crafted vodka company. But there's just one thing missing from his resume, and that is a Cup Series championship.
