With the 2024 NASCAR season wrapped up, drivers and team owners were seen relaxing with their loved ones during the 2024 NASCAR Awards and Champion Celebration at the Charlotte Convention Center. On his Coffee with Kenny podcast, NASCAR legend Kenny Wallace teased the likes of Katelyn Larson and Gianna Tulio over their awards night fashion remarks.
Apart from the close battles on the racetrack, the other event NASCAR drivers look forward to is the yearly awards ceremony. Keeping the tradition alive, almost every racer from the three national series (Cup, Xfinity, and Truck) was present for the event. Joining the drivers were either their wives, fiancées, or girlfriends.
While a lot of the racers chose a minimalist look with tuxedos or suits in darker colors, the women wore bright-colored or fancy evening gowns with accessories. On his Coffee with Kenny podcast, Wallace teased Kyle Larson's wife Katelyn, and Ryan Blaney's fiance Gianna for their comments regarding their outfits for the event.
"Oh, it was funny as all get out. So you had the wives. Who was the most bougie? So my award for the most bougie wife was Ryan Blaney's wife. She's a beautiful lady. And Ryan and her, they looked great. But she was the one that when they said, what are you wearing? And she's like, I'm wearing, you know, whatever it is. And she did really good. It's like, she's bougie," Kenny Wallace said about Tulio (0:18 onward).
"Oh, I like Kaitlyn Larson. You know, Kyle Larson and Kaitlyn, they're such a good couple. She's tomboy as hell. She looks good though. And they're like, Kaitlyn, what are you wearing? She's like, I can't pronounce the name. It was great. She even tried to pronounce it."

"It was getting to be a really shitty life" - Kenny Wallace on why he left analyst role with FOX Sports
Retiring as a NASCAR racer in 2015, Kenny Wallace got into the role of an analyst with FOX Sports. However, after spending close to three years as a broadcaster, he left the US-based sports TV channel to get back into full-time dirt racing.
He spoke about the same during a candid video in 2022.
"It was getting to be a really shitty life. My wife was having a good time in the casinos without me here in St Louis; my friends Kenny Schrader and everybody were racing dirt cars on the weekends till midnight-one in the morning drinking beer without me. And there I was laid up in the hotel rooms at those NASCAR tracks every weekend having no fun," Kenny Wallace said (0:50 onwards).
