Spire Motorsports cut ties with Rev Racing in the Craftsman Truck Series ahead of the 2025 season
According to a report by TobyChristie.com, the NASCAR Cup Series team Spire Motorsports ended its collaboration with Rev Racing's #2 Chevy Silverado operating under the team's banner on Friday, January 10.
The Cup Series team, owned by Jeff Dickerson, T.J. Puchyr, and TWG Global, was opened in 2018. They supplied equipment and personnel to REV Racing for the 2024 season.
However, this will not be the same for the 2025 season. According to TobyChristie.com, a NASCAR Cup Series team representative claimed the team decided not to renew the agreement with Rev Racing's #2 Chevy Silverado for the 2025 Truck Series season. The team plans to rebrand the former #2 truck entry as the #7 and expand to a four-truck operation in the series for the next season.
“The agreement between Spire [Motorsports] and REV Racing expired at the end of the 2024 season. Spire elected not to pursue a renewal of that agreement and enter a fourth Spire Motorsports truck in 2025,” the team representative said.
Truck Series driver Nick Sanchez, 23, drove the #2 Rev Racing truck in the 2024 season. He secured two wins, 11 top-five finishes, and 14 top-10 finishes in the season with an average finish of 9.3 in 23 starts. He ended the season in fifth spot.
