NASCAR insider Kaitlyn Vincie recently addressed the devastation caused by a hurricane at Chimney Rock, which resulted in nearly the entire area being washed away. Vincie, a broadcaster for NASCAR on Fox, lamented that the town near their Airbnb cabins had been destroyed. Fans expressed their sympathy by leaving supportive messages in the comment section of her posts.

In western North Carolina, the Lake Lure dam was overwhelmed last Friday when Hurricane Helene deluged the region, necessitating evacuations and leading to early morning alerts from officials about the potential failure of the dam. The aftermath saw roads and many places buried under mud and debris from the flooding. Officials have indicated that residents might not be able to return to their homes for some time due to the challenging conditions in the area, including downed trees and other obstacles. Additionally, the area was still without cell service.

In a related post, NASCAR broadcaster Kaitlyn Vincie shared a video on her official X handle, highlighting the situation.

"I am at a complete loss. The town at our airbnb cabins is completely gone. So many businesses, homes and attractions leveled to nothing. Some of our best memories as a family was at Chimney Rock. Appreciate those who have reached out, we have minimal information still. Praying for this special town & community after such devastating loss."

According to the Associated Press, the death toll from Hurricane Helene has escalated to at least 40 across Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina.

Fans expressed their condolences and shock at the news, with one remarking,

"Unbelievable, such a horrible situation!"
