Bubba Wallace expressed his displeasure with NASCAR's charter negotiations after his race team, 23XI Racing, refused a signing agreeement.

The team is awaiting an agreement with NASCAR on charter negoitations according to the American, who said so while speaking with reporters on Saturday at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Bubba Wallace has some concerns on the agreement not being reached when he said via Frontstretch:

"It's frustrating to see where we're at, because that impacts my life and livelihood and everything moving forward for my future."

23XI Racing, co-owned by NBA legend Michael Jordan and driver of the No. 11 Joe Gibbs Racing car and 54-time Cup winner Denny Hamlin, had a statement sent out on the team's X account to explain the matter in which they didn't sign a charter agreement.

"We notified NASCAR what issues need to be addressed, in writing, at the deadline," the statement read. "We are interested in engaging in constructive discussions with NASCAR to address these issues and move forward in a way that comes to a fair resolution, while strengthening the sport we all love."

The team's statement finished by saying they're still committed to their duties as competitors but want to stand tall in their beliefs of wanting to be treated fairly.

"At 23XI Racing, we remain committed to competing at the highest level while also standing firm in our belief that NASCAR should be governed by fair and equitable practices."

Bubba Wallace is currently on a year-and-a-half winless streak

Bubba Wallace's two career victories in the NASCAR Cup Series have come with 23XI Racing, with the first being at Talladega Superspeedway in October 2021 and the other at Kansas Speedway in September 2022. However, he is yet to win a single race since the latter triumph.

In the same interview with Frontstretch, when asked about failing to make the playoffs, the 30-year-old spoke of his winless streak.

"How many races are we in now, 26?" Bubba Wallace said. "So, what's 26 plus 38? Do the math. Winless. Sh*tty."

This season, the 23 XI Racing driver has secured five top-five finishes, with his best performance being finishing fourth twice. The first of these instances came at the Cook Out 400, which took place in the Martinsville Speedway. His second fourth-place finish came at the Cook Out 400 in Richmond. Wallace finished 16th in the last regular season race, the Cook Out Southern 500 in Darlington

The 30-year-old is 18th in the regular season standings after failing to make the playoffs.

Bubba Wallace's teammate Tyler Reddick, however, made it to the playoffs and won the regular season Championship after Kyle Larson. Reddick won two Cup Series races at the GEICO 500 in Talladega and the Firekeepers Casino 400 in Brooklyn, Michigan.
