Dale Earnhardt Jr. and his wife Amy have two beautiful daughters together. The youngest one is Nicole, 4 and then there is Isla, who turned six last year.

In a recent episode of the Dale Jr. Download podcast, the NASCAR Hall of Fame and his wife said their personalities influence both Nicole and Isla’s characters. But who is more like whom is what show co-host Andrew Kurland wanted to know.

"Anytime they do something that's smartass, I just say that that's your genetics because that's just fun for me to do to Dale,” Amy said laughing. “Nicole, she's built like me but I have no idea where that personality came from. She is one of one." (0:09)

Dale Jr. added that whenever little Nicole spots something intriguing or worthy to play with, she starts reaching out for it, even if the elders had asked her not to. And that’s just how Dale Jr. was as a kid too; curious and relentless.

"I've a pretty good split difference of our personalities in Isla,” continued Amy. “She's built like your mom...she stands like you with that one leg out. Dale's dad stood like that too, like he's kind of back on one hip with that one leg out... Isla does that." (0:53)

Dale and Amy Earnhardt are indeed one of the power couples of NASCAR. They have been married since New Year’s Eve in 2016. Together, Dale and Amy own High Rock Vodka, a premium hand-crafted vodka company brought about in collaboration with Sugarlands Distilling Company.

Amy reveals the secret behind a successful marriage; Ft. Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s video games

In every marriage, respecting personal space and time is quite important. After staying together as husband and wife for nearly a decade, Dale Earnhardt Jr. and his wife Amy know how crucial it is when it comes to a healthy marriage.

Dale Jr. enjoys playing video games when he’s not working. The man turns 51 this year and still just can’t stay away from his collection of video games. But Amy seems to have no problem with that.

“I don’t think that there’s any issue,” said Amy in an episode of Ask Amy Live. “As much as I make fun of the video game thing, it keeps them off the street. So I’m not so mad about it. But he does it while I’m sleeping.” (2:02)

Meanwhile, 2025 is going to be a busy year for Dale Earnhardt Jr. as he will be joining TNT Sports and Amazon Prime’s broadcast team besides running a part-time late model schedule with his iconic No. 8 Budweiser Chevy under the banner of JR Motorsports, a NASCAR Xfinity team he owns.

Dale Jr. has been running NASCAR-sanctioned races; at least one every year since retiring in 2017. However, he’s not going to do that this season due to his duties as a sportscaster with the two media giants.
