Sunday's race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway saw Tyler Reddick and Chase Elliott find themselves in a wreck that jeopardized their South Point 400 race in Las Vegas. Reacting to the crash, Martin Truex Jr., who watched them up close, revealed that he was unsure what caused the wreck that sent the #45 and #9 out of the race.

In Lap 90 (Stage 2 of the race), Reddick and Elliott first made contact, as the former wanted to go around the outside of the latter. However, Reddick failed and touched the #9. Both #45 and #9 began rolling down towards the grass, and on their way, they collected Truex Jr.'s #19 Toyota. Truex Jr. told Frontstretch, explaining the incident.

"I'm not sure, we were kind of close together and the #9 lifted all of a sudden, and I'm not really sure what happened. Still felt like there was plenty of room in the #9, things jumped out of the gas, I'm not really sure what happened. That's about all."

The wreck where Reddick flipped after the contact also collected Ryan Blaney and Brad Keselowski.

Tyler Reddick and Chase Elliott, who were running for the Championship 4 berth, saw their race come to an end after the crash. Both of them finished outside the top 30, while Truex Jr. finished in sixth place.

Martin Truex Jr. will no longer be a full-time driver in the NASCAR Cup Series following the end of this season. The #19 driver for Joe Gibbs Racing is set to take a semi-retirement with a few cameos in the Xfinity and Cup Series races.

As per reports, 23XI Racing agreed to put Truex Jr. in one of their cars at the 2025 Daytona 500. However, with the ongoing Charter dispute between the 23XI and NASCAR, put the plan in double. Truex told Bob Pockrass of FOX Sports.

“I should probably only have one (race) so I don’t know. I don’t own a car so it’s going to be depending on a lot of people to figure it out. So, hopefully, a couple of Xfinity races and the Daytona 500. We’ll see.”
"As far as I know, as far as I know. I mean as far as I know it’s all going still. I think we’re good. You never know these days, things change in a hurry, right? A lot going on like you said, I have no clue. But I feel confident I have a contract so that’s a good sign, right?" Martin Truex Jr. concluded.

23XI Racing and Front Row Motorsport did not sign NASCAR's latest Charter agreement. As a result, their entry into the 2025 season has become doubtful.
