Lionel Racing, NASCAR's official die-cast producer, recently announced the annual top ten die-cast cars list, and Dale Earnhardt Jr. topped the list with his car's iconic livery. Reflecting on the same, stock car racing analyst Taylor Kitchen expressed her thoughts on the 50-year-old's strategy to re-introduce his livery back in 2024.

Earnhardt Jr. announced the return of his #8 Budweiser car at the South Carolina 400 at Florence Motor Speedway held on November 23, 2024, marking a reunion with the former sponsor after 17 years. Although Jr. did not win the race, he put on a good show for the fans, giving them a sheer nostalgic moment on the track.

Despite having a slow qualifying lap, Dale Earnhardt Jr. worked his way up the ladder delivering a thrilling head-to-head battle to the eventual winner, Treyten Lapcevich. However, Dale Jr. ended his race with 31 laps to go in the 250-lap race, finishing in 28th place on the grid.

NASCAR analyst Jeff Gluck shared the top-ten die-cast car list on his X account with Dale Earnhardt Jr. on top with his 2024 Budweiser Late Model car. Stock car racing reporter Taylor Kitchen expressed her views on this and wrote:

"Dale Jr. being at the top of this list doesn’t surprise me at all. Very well executed announcement and a classic scheme everyone wants to have. Everything else on this list makes complete sense to me whether it be a popular driver or a beautiful paint scheme. The people have spoken!"

The seven-time NASCAR most popular award winner, Chase Elliott, was in second place with his 2024 Hooters Texas win livery.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. revealed his prayer before his iconic return at the Florence Motor Speedway

NASCAR Hall of Famer Dale Earnhardt Jr. competed in the 32nd Annual South Carolina 400 race with the nostalgic #8 Budweiser livery on his car. The 50-year-old later revealed what he prayed for before entering the 250-lap race in Florence.

Speaking on his podcast, the 'Dale Jr. Download', Earnhardr Jr. Junior pointed out that he doesn't visit the church frequently, but he is a believer and often prays before races. The 50-year-old said that he prayed to be happy after the South Carolina 400 race.

"I prayed that when it was over, that I would be happy. I don't know what that looks like. I don't know; that's not necessarily a result. It's like, Man, when I get out of the car, I just don't want to be sad. I don't want to feel like I felt after I said that little prayer," added Earnhardt Jr. [00:39]

Treyten Lapcevich won the race at the Florence Motor Speedway while Doug Barnes was the runner-up, followed by Sam Yarbrough in third place.
