Kyle Busch's wife Samantha Busch attended the gender reveal party of her friend from Purdue University, where she majored in psychology. The lifestyle blogger uploaded a picture with the mom-to-be in one of her recent Instagram stories.
Kyle Busch drives the No. 8 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 for Richard Childress Racing. The Las Vegas, Nevada native has 63 Cup wins, the most among the current Cup Series regulars. His wife, Samantha Busch, is a social media influencer, philanthropist, entrepreneur and author. She wrote "Fighting Infertility: Finding My Inner Warrior Through Trying to Conceive, IVF, and Miscarriage", a book that encompasses her struggles with infertility and journey with IVF. Currently, Samantha has 248,000 followers on Instagram.
Samantha shared a sneak peek at her best friend's gender reveal day and wrote,
"Beautiful mama to be! We met our sophomore year of college and she's the sister I never had!"
The following stories showed Samantha carrying out an age-old tradition started by her grandmother, who she lovingly calls "Nonnie". The Italian tradition involved choosing between two folded hand towels, one had a knife wrapped up in it, hinting it was a boy and the other had a pair of scissors; meaning it was a girl.
Samantha's friend chose the one with the knife and soon after she cut the beautiful gender-revealing chocolate cake, everyone knew it was indeed going to be a boy.
Samantha Busch reflects on Kyle Busch's winning streak
Kyle Busch has won at least one Cup race for the last 19 years. However, with 26 races of the current season already over, Busch is yet to win a race in 2024 and has 10 weeks to maintain his streak.
Busch fell short on points to make the playoffs at Darlington last Sunday. The veteran racer has not missed the playoffs since 2012. He has been close to the win on several occasions throughout the year, including his last two races at Daytona and Darlington, where he delivered back-to-back P2 finishes.
Talking about her husband's race, Samantha Busch recently penned a heartfelt note on her Instagram account, lauding the efforts of the team and expressing the hope of maintaining the winning streak this season:
"Ugh my heart hurts for the 8 team. From the calls to the stops to the driving they dug hard all night. I wanted it so bad for them. Proud to see the strides they made over the past few weeks and watching Kyle contend for the win these last few races. 10 more races to keep the win streak alive!"
During a one-on-one interview with FOX Sports journalist Bob Pockrass in May this year, Kyle Busch discussed his racing streak and acknowledged that he was more worried about keeping the streak alive than making it to the playoffs.
