NASCAR veteran Kevin Harvick has claimed that 23XI Racing's protest against the Charter Agreement deal "doesn't matter" since all of the other teams have signed the agreement. He feels that the condition has "flipped" for Denny Hamlin.

Team owners expressed dissatisfaction with the Charter Agreement that was presented for 2025. It was reported that teams wanted a larger share of the revenue pie, citing the increasing costs associated with running and maintaining charters throughout the season.

Despite a silent protest, all teams signed the Charter Agreement before the deadline, with the exception of Denny Hamlin and Michael Jordan's co-owned 23XI Racing. In a statement, the team explained that they had not been given a fair opportunity to negotiate with NASCAR.

While they still have not signed the agreement, Kevin Harvick feels that it does not put much pressure on the authorities since the other teams have agreed. He also feels that the "complaining about charters is over."

"There's more questions now, I mean you're going to have to answer questions about how you raced, you're going to have to answer questions that you didn't answer last week about your Charter," he said on his namesake podcast (at 17:38).
"What are you going to do with Bubba Wallace? What are you going to do with Tyler Reddick? What's going to happen with your Charters?" he added.
"The complaining about the charters is over, right? Because their position almost, you know, doesn't matter because of the fact that all the other teams signed the charters and everything that has happened so now it's all kind of flipped on Denny [Hamlin]," he continued.

"We did not have an opportunity to fairly bargain": 23XI Racing in their statement after skipping NASCAR Charter Agreement deadline

It was apparent that 23XI Racing was not satisfied with the NASCAR offer. On his Actions Detrimental podcast, co-owner Denny Hamlin had also mentioned that the deal was not "fair."

After the team skipped the deadline to sign the Charter Agreement, they released a statement that mentioned that they did not have the opportunity "to fairly bargain." It also mentioned that they had notified NASCAR about the issues.

"23XI decided to not meet a NASCAR-imposed deadline last night to sign Charter agreements for its two cars for 2025 - 2031. 23XI's position, as stated in a letter to NASCAR, is that we did not have an opportunity to fairly bargain for a new Charter contract."
