Danica Patrick has expressed agreement with renowned psychiatrist Dr. Daniel Amen's take on brain functions among males and females. The Wisconsin native shared Amen's explanation on her social media and affirmed male and female as two genders.
Dr. Daniel Gregory Amen is a celebrity physician, adult and child psychiatrist, and brain disorder specialist who has worked with several athletes and has published various books in his decades-long medical career. He is also the founder of Amen Clinics.
His first book, 'Change Your Brain, Change Your Life' was featured on the New York Times bestsellers list.
While speaking about the study of brain functions and their relation to gender, Amen said (via timeinvestors on Instagram),
"This whole thing about, 'You can't put your gender on your medical forms' is just insanely stupid because gender matters. Like estrogen and testosterone, they matter when it comes to brain function. I published a study on 46000 scans looking at the differences between male and female brains and they're wild."
Patrick shared the psychiatrist's take on her Instagram stories, writing:
"Love @doc_amen! In another episode he said men and women's brains were like completely different species! 😂 this explains so much from both sides. Yes, the two genders, male and female."
While Patrick has shared her agreement with Dr. Amen's explanation about males and females, her latest guest on the Pretty Intense Podcast detailed how the relationship between the two genders has evolved over time.
Danica Patrick's podcast guest compares traditional and modern-day relationships between men
and women
After marking her final Cup Series race at the 2018 Daytona 500, Danica Patrick has been active as a studio analyst for NBC's Indy 500 broadcast, F1 presenter for Sky Sports, and has also been busy interviewing guests on her Pretty Intense Podcast.
Since the first episode aired in 2019, the former NASCAR driver has invited notable guests across several disciplines, to opine on subjects to "maximize human potential by realizing one's true best self."
Her latest episode was with Orion Taraban, a licensed psychologist with expertise in relationships, men's mental health, and personal development. Taraban outlined why modern relationships don't last and drew parallels with traditional ones.
"Part of the reason why a lot of modern relationships are struggling is because men and women spend too much time together and they want each other to be too many things. For the vast majority of time that humans have lived on this planet, men have spent most of their days with another man and women have spent most of their days with another woman," Taraban said via Danica Patrick on YouTube (56:09).
"They sometimes come together at the end of the day, or once the men come back from the hunting party. So there's actually a great deal of separation that has historically and traditionally been in male and female relationships," he added.
The two discussed several other topics such as "The economics of dating", "Are men afraid of successful women", "Why do men fall in love", and many more.
