This past season, NASCAR Cup Series driver Todd Gilliland’s Grillo’s Pickle Ford Mustang at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, Michigan International Speedway, and Daytona International Speedway left quite a mark on the racing aficionados. Safe to say, that called for a 2025 repeat.
As per Jayski, driver of the No. 34, Gilliland will join forces with Grillo’s Pickles for three thrilling races next season, scheduled to be held at Pocono Raceway, New Hampshire Motor Speedway, and the Chicago Street Circuit. On that note, Gilliland’s wife, Marissa, could not have been happier for her husband.
“I’m super excited Grillo’s is continuing their partnership with Todd in 2025,” said Marissa (as quoted by Jayski). “I am really looking forward to being involved with the partnership as well. Grillo’s has been “all in” on Todd and I can’t wait to do my part in the partnership to further build their brand.”
Gilliland and Marissa tied the knot in December 2022 in the Bahamas. But the couple went on their honeymoon only during the November of 2023. Here’s all you need to know about Todd and Marissa Gilliland’s dream honeymoon.
A native of Statesville, North Carolina, and son of former Cup Series driver David Gilliland, Todd Gilliland finished his 2024 season 22nd in points. In 36 starts, the 24-year-old driver amassed four top-10s. He is yet to deliver his first career victory at the Cup level.
Todd Gilliland eyes reunion with old crew chief
Back when Todd Gilliland competed in the ARCA Menards Series West, veteran crew chief Chris Lawson used to be the one to look over from atop the pit box. Next year will mark the return of the duo as Lawson left Rick Ware Racing recently and joined the FRM roster to back Gilliland.
Reporting the same on X, formerly known as Twitter, Front Row Motorsports posted,
“The duo returns. Chris Lawson will return to Front Row Motorsports to Crew Chief Todd Gilliland in the No. 34 Ford Mustang Dark Horse for the 2025 season.”
Lawson called races for Gilliland when he drove in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series as well. Gilliland made his full-time move to the Cup Series in 2022, earning his first top-five finish at the Indianapolis road course, while Lawson stayed in the Truck Series and helped Zane Smith win the 2022 championship.
Gilliland and Lawson will hit the tracks on February 2, the day scheduled for this year’s season-opening Clash. The event used to be held at the LA Coliseum previously, but this year, it’s going to make a trip to the historic Bowman Gray Stadium in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
The 200-lap event will stream live on FOX from 8 pm ET onwards. Fans can also listen to radio updates on MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
